Hello fellow LSRT members,

     It saddens me to deliver some tragic news, a fellow LSRT member and student in the University of Louisiana Monroe has passed away. Please take a moment to remember him, his family, and his classmates.

     As some of you may have noticed our website (www.lsrt.net) is experiencing some problems. Rest assured the LSRT Executive Board Appointees are working to resolve this issue in a timely manner. If you experience any problems, please contact one of the board members.

     The 2019 Mid Winter Seminar was a success, and I have received many positive comments regarding the speakers and the program. I’d like to thank Sarah Barnes for her tireless efforts as Local Meeting Chair and the students of LSUA for obtaining donations for door prizes and bags. I would also like to thank all of the speakers and organizers for a job well done.

     Do not forget to mark your calendars and plan to attend the 62nd LSRT Annual Meeting on July 18th – 20th at the Shreveport Convention Center. Please contact Joel Hicks, Local Committee Chair, if you would like to volunteer or be a speaker.

     The partnership with Member Planet is coming along nicely. We hope to be up and functioning in the near future. Thanks to the Board and especially, Carmen George for coordinating and sending the information to Member Planet.

     Spring is upon us so I encourage you to spring into action and continue supporting the LSRT. As always, if you have any suggestions and/or comments, please contact me or any member of the board.
